Beth and Tony are Engaged!

Tuesday, October 26th, 2010

Tony’s proposal to Beth was really awesome! He arranged for a tornado drill at Beth’s elementary school where she teaches 1st grade. The fire department showed up. Teachers stood by with cameras and camcorders, all pointing towards Beth when Tony walks up, gets on one knee and proposes in front of all of the teachers and students! Beth was completely surprised since Tony worked at a different station that doesn’t cover the area for her school. She said yes, the students, teachers and firemen clapped and cheered, and here we are!

Beth and Tony love the mountains, so we went up to Flat Rock, NC. We started taking photos at Bonclarken. There are a bunch of ever greens all over!

I love how Beth and Tony blend in with nature almost with their nature colored clothing! It’s really neat if you look in the background and notice the yellow leaves crawling up the tree!

Tony didn’t think Beth looked like a fire fighter. He, he!

Beth agreed that Tony looked more like the fire fighter. Tony LOVES being a fire fighter! He’s an engineer at the Gilbert Summit department in Lexington, SC.

Michelle and Chris are Married!

Saturday, June 12th, 2010

Chris and Michelle were married at Bonclarken. It’s a Christian camp located in Flat Rock, NC, near the Flat Rock Playhouse and the Associate Reformed┬áPresbyterian┬áChurch’s first choice for hosting many of their events and retreats. The Heidelberg Hotel, an iconic image of Bonclarken, seen in the photo below, was built in 1886! It features 19 rooms and 4 suites!

Chris and Michelle went to school at Erskine College, mine and Marissa’s Alma Mater. We knew them from Erskine and were so excited to hear of their engagement and honored when they asked us to photograph their wedding!

The scenery at Bonclarken is beautiful check out some of the amazing foliage!

Chris gave his groomsmen traditionally crafted pocket watches with their names on them for the groomsmen’s gifts. The guys were full of laughs!

The flower girl was too cute! All of Michelle’s bridesmaids were so sweet! Many of them were friends from college, and had plenty of fun stories to tell about their time together at Erskine.

Too much cuteness for one picture!

Michelle and her father right before she walked down the isle. I always love these tender moments, they make for such emotional pictures! Chris and Michele were married outside, in the outdoor amphitheater at Bonclarken. It was a very hot day, but the wedding was beautiful and sunshiny with the ironic addition of thunder in the distance!

Michelle’s brother-in law Rhett, started the ceremony and her father officiated the rest. It’s always really special when the father of the bride is the pastor! I don’t know how they do it without crying!

Michelle and Chris are filled with so much joy and happiness! Just look at those smiles!

Michele is such a lovely lady, she has the most adorable smile! I love how she crinkles her nose when she laughs, it’s such an infectious happiness! You know that the guy who marries her has to be a super special guy to deserve her, and Chris really is great! He completely adores Michele, you can see in his eyes and the way he looks at her, that he’s totally head over heels for her, and she returns his affection with huge smiles and loving eyes!

There was dancing, a beautiful cake and a lot of wonderful friends and family at the reception! Everything was apple orchard themed because Chris proposed at the Sky Top Orchard just down the road from Bonclarken. There were baskets full of apples and surrounded by wreaths of apple blossoms decorating the entire reception!

I can’t help but laugh every time the bride and groom are about to depart, because you always see them look at each and say “are you ready” as they duck and prepare to be pummeled by bird seeds!

Seeds in the air, seeds in their hair, seeds everywhere!

Michelle and Chris still have some bird seeds in there hair after they got in the car, which they had to remove countless balloons and bouncy balls in order to do so! Michelle’s brother, John even attached a┬ákite┬áto the top of the Jeep and we saw it take flight as they drove off!

Michelle’s and Chris’ wedding was so sweet and special! They had amazing friends and family there that support them and wish the best for them! The day went perfect! It was thundering and cloudy some, however the rain held off right up until the moment they walked into the reception hall, and stopped just before their departure! How awesome is that! We hope you are enjoying your honeymoon in Jamaica!

Lindsey!

Friday, February 5th, 2010

We started taking photos at Sky Top Orchard. It’s beautiful there when it snows!

Lindsey is such a trooper for wearing those shoes in the snow!

I love Lindsey’s look here. It’s so intense!

The next set of photos were taken at Bonclarken. We didn’t have much time here. The winter sun falls fast!

I just love the way the colors interact with each other! The sun was going down behind Lindsey, however the snow and the building beside her acted as natural reflectors and lit her up really well!

Lindsey’s red dress is really pretty. The sparkles that fade down the dress remind me of snow fall! What a perfect dress for the snow!

The tree was heavy and wet with snow and the branches dipped low.

That lamp post is awesome! But watch out for falling icicles!

We had so much fun even though it was freezing in the mountains! Lindsey could definitely be a model! Check out her senior photos we took in the fall here.
