We had a fun day for Marissa’s birthday! First, we went to the Trillium Arts Festival in Travelers Rest, SC! The festival was hosted by the Trillium Arts Centre. There was a variety of awesome art!
Magic Metals was there making some awesome stuff. They let children participate and see what being a blacksmith is like! One of the guys was making an awesome snake.
Thee Inner Cirkus a visual performance artists group was there performing. Fan them on Facebook and check out some of their performances!
Marie Scott‘s paintings are so vibrant, exciting, and beautiful! She moved to Travelers Rest from way up in Wisconsin! My favorite painting is this one of hay bales in a field. So no one buy this one. 😉 I want it for my place! He he!
I also love, love, love all of her tree paintings! It was lovely talking with her! She was very nice and has a passion for art!
Some of her paintings of flowers reminded me of my friend, Ashley Gray’s artwork! I got to take pictures of her and her beautiful paintings and design her senior art show postcard!
Be sure to check out Marie’s paintings on Nov 6,7 and 8 at her open studios or another exhibit! Check out her website for more information! If you would love to have a beautiful and colorful nature scene in one of your rooms to brighten up and add a vibrant atmosphere to your home, I would recommend talking to Marie Scott!
Emily Clarke paints a lot of the vintage genre. Her paintings are very unique. They make you feel like you’ve traveled back in time to those simple days! Be sure to check out her open studios Nov. 6, 7 and 8. Details are on her website. She also paints commissions!
There was also Pastor Steve Saxe (864-268-8355, lcgs1601@aol.com) who paints goose, duck and chicken eggs! He has some Christmas eggs in the works, so be sure and pick those up soon! How awesome are these?
Terry Butler has some amazing patterns and color combination in his paintings!

For all of you art lovers be sure to check out a free event, Starry Night, October 31, downtown Greenville, SC.
After the art festival we headed up to Sky Top Orchard in Flat Rock, NC. It was the first time that Marissa and I had been. It was really fun! There were 1,000+ people there that day!
There were gorgeous views of the mountains!
You get to pick your own apples off of the trees. Marissa and I both climbed to the top of the trees to get the best apples!
We ran into a bunch of our friends! TJ and the Lancaster ARP Church were there! Look it’s Mr. & Mrs. Allen also!
I knew they had a Mac store in Flat Rock! 😉 I didn’t find any PCs.
This plane kept flying around above.
Look at the apples we got! We also got some apple cider and apple butter. We headed back down to Greenville, but had to make a stop at Krispy Kreme for some Halloween donuts!
