Megan and Craig met at Erskine College, so it’s fitting to get married there. They were married in the Bowie Chapel on Erskine Theological Seminary campus.
This is the back of Megan’s beautiful wedding gown! Marissa put it in the lobby windows of Robinson Dorm, where her and Megan resided from there sophomore to senior year. Robinson is a three-story dormitory for women, and it was constructed in 1922 and restored and renovated in 1995. It was completely renovated and restored in 2003. Megan, Marissa, and all their friends lived on the third floor all three years.
Megan’s bridesmaids consisted of her cousins and Erskine College friends!
These are a bunch of silly girls!
The flowers at Megan and Craig’s wedding were arranged by Ruth Burton, the Resident Director (or “Dorm Mother”) at Carnegie Hall Dormitory, where all the Erskine girls stayed their freshman year.
Megan and her mother are a pair!
Megan is standing in front of Carnegie, the dorm where she lived when she was a freshman in college. Carnegie is a three-story dormitory for freshman women, built in 1907, and it was completely restored and renovated in 2002.
Megan has gorgeous eyes!
Craig’s dad was his best man, along with his brother and Erskine College friends as groomsmen!
Here they are sitting in the Circle, the location of all the women’s dorms on campus. Every Wednesday night men from the only adjacent men’s dorm, Kennedy, would dress up in a towel and sing to the lady’s on the circle, a tradition going back to the very beginning of the college (with the towel part being new). Craig was a resident in Kennedy dorm, and serenaded the ladies frequently in Kennedy Towel Choir.
The happy groom!
Megan’s mother and grandmother are in the front left along with the Resident Director of Robinson Dorm, Carole Hill, a woman who is very much a second mother for all the girls from Robinson Dorm. Dr. Ruble was performing the ceremony and not only was it a wonderful worship service, but it was filled with lively and funny stories and comments!
The Bowie Chapel was recently renovated and looks beautiful!
The ring and kiss! I love Dr. Ruble’s huge smile here!
The Fergusons are on the left and the Goodwins on the right.
Most people had never seen Megan and Craig kiss besides their “first kiss” during the ceremony, so this was a momentous occasion!
Megan and Craig had a tall cake with beautiful flowers.
Most of the guests at the wedding were Erskine students, alumni, faculty and staff, so of course we had to take an Erskine group shot.
It was a crazy bubble storm when Megan and Craig left.
They managed to get through the storm!
Wave bye, bye!
Off in the Erskine College Model A!
Megan and Craig had a beautiful wedding full of Erskine fun and memories.
