Elizabeth Williams Bridals

Tuesday, May 10th, 2011

We took Elizabeth’s bridals at Ansley and Kennon Keiser’s home in Gastonia, NC! It’s a beautiful home with a gorgeous yard! The Keiser’s are great friends of Elizabeth’s family and were so kind to let us use their home to take pictures!

Craig and Megan are Married!

Saturday, July 17th, 2010

Megan and Craig met at Erskine College, so it’s fitting to get married there. They were married in the Bowie Chapel on Erskine Theological Seminary campus.

This is the back of Megan’s beautiful wedding gown! Marissa put it in the lobby windows of Robinson Dorm, where her and Megan resided from there sophomore to senior year. Robinson is a three-story dormitory for women, and it was constructed in 1922 and restored and renovated in 1995. It was completely renovated and restored in 2003. Megan, Marissa, and all their friends lived on the third floor all three years.

Megan’s bridesmaids consisted of her cousins and Erskine College friends!

The flowers at Megan and Craig’s wedding were arranged by Ruth Burton, the Resident Director (or “Dorm Mother”) at Carnegie Hall Dormitory, where all the Erskine girls stayed their freshman year.

Craig’s dad was his best man, along with his brother and Erskine College friends as groomsmen!

Here they are sitting in the Circle, the location of all the women’s dorms on campus. Every Wednesday night men from the only adjacent men’s dorm, Kennedy, would dress up in a towel and sing to the lady’s on the circle, a tradition going back to the very beginning of the college (with the towel part being new). Craig was a resident in Kennedy dorm, and serenaded the ladies frequently in Kennedy Towel Choir.

Megan’s mother and grandmother are in the front left along with the Resident Director of Robinson Dorm, Carole Hill, a woman who is very much a second mother for all the girls from Robinson Dorm. Dr. Ruble was performing the ceremony and not only was it a wonderful worship service, but it was filled with lively and funny stories and comments!

Most people had never seen Megan and Craig kiss besides their “first kiss” during the ceremony, so this was a momentous occasion!

Most of the guests at the wedding were Erskine students, alumni, faculty and staff, so of course we had to take an Erskine group shot.

Tyler is an Assistant Youth Director at First Presbyterian Church in Augusta, GA. The middle schoolers love Tyler! He does an awesome job there at the Church. Since Tyler stays busy almost all the time, Katie is pretty much a full-time mother! It’s a big job to raise a little one 🙂 She does also sell Stella & Dot Jewelry! Check out her website.

It is so special to get to be a part of the most important moments in a person’s life! I feel so blessed to be the one to capture the moments so they may be remembered forever. It can be a big responsibility, but it is also a whole lot of fun! It’s such a joy to be able to watch a family grow in both love, and size! I get to see the little miracles of life that so often get brushed aside, and I hope, with my photography, it helps keep those moments alive.
