Ashley was Marissa’s roommate at Erskine! She needed some pictures for a prayer card and newsletter she is going to be giving out during her two year mission trip to Peru! Ashley is an amazing person, full of God’s love and eager to share it with the world. She majored in Bible and Spanish!
Ashley has a wonderful smile! She just got a big hair cut, her hair used to be down to her waist! Her new ‘do is super cute and flattering! I loved the way her curly locks framed her face!
Ashley’s eyes are beautiful! They are very sparkly! Marissa played the song Brown Eyed Girl at our wedding just for Ashley, and her beautiful brown eyes!

Look how beautiful she is! I love getting the opportunity to take pictures of our friends! They’re so beautiful inside and out and it’s such a wonderful thing to be able to give them pictures that show it!
Ashley was always such a patient roommate! Marissa was constantly bringing animals, bugs, plants, etc. into the dorm! Marissa was a biology major and always trying to rescue things! She brought an injured butterfly in to recover, a caterpillar because she wanted to see it turn into a Luna Moth (incidentally it bit her and she put it back outside) and an injured cat that she had fixed up and found a good home for it (the Dorm mom wasn’t too fond of that one!) and Ashley just smiled and laughed when she brought them in!
Marissa and Ashley used to play Indian music in the dorm with some other college friends, and they’d dance all around the room! Girls are so silly!
It was always funny to go into Ashley and Marissa’s dorm room, you could really see their personalities in the way they decorated! Ashley had inspiring Bible verses, and posters hung up on her walls, along with cool things she had brought back from various mission trips! Marissa had tons of pictures of animals, mostly kittens and wild cats! Ashley was always more of a dog person, but Marissa may have convinced her that cats aren’t so bad either! 🙂
We hope Ashley has a wonderful trip to Peru! We’ll miss her dearly, but we are so excited for her! It’s such a wonderful opportunity for her to use her gifts!
