I’m Davey, a photographer with over 20 years behind the camera and 15+ years as a full-time professional. My wife, Marissa, brings her artistic background to the business, focusing on album design and client relations. Together, we love meeting amazing people and capturing the special moments that make life unforgettable.
Experience & Accomplishments
Photography has been a lifelong passion of mine. I’ve spent over 20 years behind the camera, with 15+ years as a full-time photographer. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Art with a concentration in photography from Erskine College, where I worked as a college photographer and for various newspapers and magazines. My career has taken me through countless events and photography styles, constantly honing my craft.
I've had the honor of photographing 300+ weddings and countless families, children, and events across the U.S. and internationally. From a sun-soaked French vineyard to the romantic streets of Paris, I’ve had the privilege of capturing love stories and special moments in over a dozen states and 11 countries. I've even photographed the breathtaking Italian Alps by drone, capturing stunning aerial views that showcase nature’s grandeur. My travels have taken me to historic castles in Scotland, dreamy beaches in the Dominican Republic, and the vibrant cityscapes of South Korea, where modern romance meets timeless tradition. Whether cruising on a boat in Vermont, exploring hidden gems, or documenting love from above, I embrace every opportunity to create something unforgettable.
Beyond weddings and portraits, I’ve taken photos from multiple helicopters and planes—including a WWII aircraft—bringing a whole new perspective to my work.
As a member of Professional Photographers of America, I am continually learning and evolving in my craft. I even won first place in a Nikon photography contest for a wedding photo capturing groomsmen mid-air!
While I handle photography on the wedding day, my wife, Marissa, plays an important role in making sure every couple has an amazing experience. She meets with couples, manages the business behind the scenes, designs wedding albums, and takes care of the details that make everything run smoothly—from client communication to social media and more.

My photography is joyful, vivid, and timeless—filled with bright colors, real emotions, and authentic storytelling. Whether it’s the excitement of a wedding day, the laughter of a family playing together, or the sweet connection between loved ones, I aim to make every session feel natural, fun, and effortless. I love seeing and capturing the pure joy in people’s lives and turning it into beautiful, lasting memories.
More About Us
When I’m not behind the camera, I’m making memories of my own! My wife, Marissa, and I adore our two boys, Ansel and Harrison, who keep life full of adventure and laughter.
Ansel loves to be silly, listen to music, play outside, build LEGO creations, and cuddle with our cats.
Harrison is an expert at domino toppling and obstacle courses, loves swimming, and sometimes even recruits our cats to assist in his creative projects!
Speaking of cats, our home is also filled with the playful antics of Frankie, Pancake, and Honey—each with their own mischievous personality. We’re big animal lovers, and I love when clients include their pets in sessions!
Marissa is a huge fan of cheetahs and elephants, so visiting zoos is a must! She also loves reading fantasy and Christian fiction.
Davey is a published illustrator and writer of children’s books, comics, and middle-grade novels. He enjoys playing guitar, mandolin, ukulele, and kalimba, as well as mountain biking and archery.

Davey is FAA-certified as a Part 107 remote pilot, with up-to-date certification to fly commercially at night.
Additionally, Davey is CPR & AED certified, ensuring safety and preparedness in any situation.
