Matt, also known as Sprinkle, proposed to Kari yesterday! They are both seniors at North Greenville University. Matt was a little nervous to propose, however very excited! I was nervous too, when I proposed to Marissa! Matt proposed out at the Furman University clock tower on Swan Lake. Matt and Kari have always gone roller blading and for walks at Furman and normally end up at the clock tower, sitting on a bench and talking. So it was the perfect place to propose Matt thought and a gorgeous time to do it at sunset!
Matt bought a bear at the jewelry store to go along with the ring! The proceeds went to St. Jude’s! Pretty cool! He stuck it in the tree for Kari to find.
Here is the gorgeous ring! Kari really wanted a ring with a sapphire! The two diamonds on either side of the sapphire are beautiful!
Matt hid in the clock tower and waited for Kari’s friends Jessica and Holly to bring her to Furman to “hang out and take pictures.” When Kari started walking towards the clock tower, Matt walked out to meet her. She was so surprised to see Matt! She yelled, “What are you doing here?!” about 50 times! He he! I was hiding in the bushes taking pictures. Matt got down on one knee and asked Kari to marry him! Kari yelled “Yes!”
Kari was so excited jumping up and down and couldn’t believe that Matt just proposed!
Kari was so excited it was hard to get her to pose for a photo 🙂
Aww…
Holly (from left), Kari, Matt (Sprinkle), and Jessica!
When Matt and Kari were leaving, Kari said, “If there were a cloud 200, I would be on it right now!” He he! 🙂
The sunset as Matt and Kari were leaving was beautiful! Matt took Kari out to TRIO, a brick oven cafe downtown Greenville, one of my favorite places!
It was an honor and really special for me to be involved and able to take pictures! Thanks Matt for letting me take photos! It was a lot of fun! Congratulations you two and may God bless your lives together!
