Dan and Vanessa were married at the Augusta Manor in Greenville, SC. Dan is from Pittsburgh, PA and Vanessa is from Greenville, SC. They met at Erskine College and fell in love! Vanessa is one of Marissa’s best friends. Marissa was so excited to do her wedding! Vanessa lived in the dorm room next to Marissa for three years! They frequently had dance parties, where they and a couple other girls would dance around to Indian music and just be silly. Vanessa loves to dance in the rain, so one rainy evening her and the girls put the CD player against the window screen and danced outside in the rain! They had a blast and got all wet and muddy! Vanessa is one of those people that knows how to really enjoy life!

A couple days before the wedding, all three girls had an Indian friend put these designs on them! Vanessa’s henna designs are on her feet! Henna is a beautiful art applied to the skin. It’s made from a plant and applied like a paint and allowed to dry and sit on the skin. It can be washed off and leaves the orange to black stain on the skin. It eventually comes off, so its not permanent like a tattoo, and you can keep putting on fun designs and change them for your mood or occassion! What a fun art!
Vanessa was an au pair in Paris, France for a year. She wanted to take this photo for her French family! Before Vanessa left for France we threw a Bon Voyage party for her and all her friends she’d be missing for the next year! You can check out some fun photobooth pictures from it here. Vanessa always said she wanted cupcakes and lots of dancing at her wedding, and she got it!
Everyone had so much fun dancing! They had a wonderful assortment of fun music, including some of Vanessa’s favorite Indian songs that her and all the Erskine girls always danced to, as well as a song called Orangutango by Fly Golden Eagle, Dan is friends with some of the guys in the band!

Dan and Vanessa had a beautiful and exciting wedding! We were so happy to have been such an important part of their wedding! It’s such a privilege getting to see and be a part of the entire wedding, from getting ready, until after the couple leaves, we see everything! It is such an honor to be a part of our friends’ “happiest day of their life, so far” because, of course, there will be plenty more happy days in the future! Thank you so much Dan and Vanessa! We love you guys!
